Rob believes that proper asset allocation is the most important step in the money management process. This decision is made through a consultative process with the client which identifies the client’s risk tolerance, income requirements and long term financial goals.

Once the Asset Allocation is determined, Rob uses a disciplined stock selection process for buying and selling securities. It is a process employed by some of Canada’s largest pension fund and institutional money managers, and helps to eliminate the emotional aspects of trading. He also consults at length with some of the GMP Securities analysts, in order to add the best, and most innovative investment ideas to his client portfolios. Fixed income securities are purchased with the help of Richardson GMP’s in house bond trading professionals.
