For all technology has done to enhance our world, connect us and guide decision-making – especially in the financial services realm – nothing really compares to just sitting down and having a genuine conversation with someone. That’s what I like best about working at Richardson GMP, building authentic relationships and doing so under the umbrella of a leading independent Canadian investment advisory firm.
As an investment advisor, I work closely with advisor teams to hand-pick solutions that match each client’s individual needs from Richardson GMP’s suite of technology-enhanced platforms and services. Whether you’re a forward-looking young professional or a retiree reflecting on your life’s goals, your needs are unique, so you deserve a unique approach to your finances.
I got my start at Macquarie Private Wealth as a summer intern while studying for a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Calgary. I joined full-time in 2012, becoming an associate when Richardson GMP acquired Macquarie Private Wealth in 2013, and later, a portfolio manager. But my ethos has been the same from day one – relationships are nothing without trust, transparency and integrity at the core of every interaction. I’m a Chartered Investment Manager, Derivatives Fundamentals and Options licensed and Level 3 Chartered Financial Analyst candidate.
Outside of the office I’m the Director of Finance for an Alberta-based charity called the Dear Heart Foundation. Founded by my mentor, the organization raises funds to help patients in the heart transplant community and cover some of their health care expenses. It’s a cause close to my heart. I also enjoy sports (it’s hard not to be when you live in Calgary) and being active.
