Chris Ballanger B.A., B.Ed., M.A.,
Director, Wealth Management & Investment Advisor
Tel: 416.941.6751

Chris Ballanger has been consulting and providing clients with investment advice for over two decades. A graduate of York University in 1986, Chris received his Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University in 1987. After a year of teaching, Chris joined Walwyn Stodgell (which became Midland Walwyn) and started his career in financial services. He joined Nesbitt Burns in 1995 and then moved to Wellington West in 2008.

His passion for education has been an ongoing pursuit for Chris and around 10 years ago he became interested in the emerging field of behavioural economics and was instantly convinced that the field presents the missing link of investor behaviour. This insight inspired him to write a Master's thesis on how behavioural finance impacts advisory practices while obtaining an Organizational Management and Design Master’s degree from Fielding Graduate University in 2009. Currently, Chris is working on an MBA from Herriot Watt University part time. As well, he has produced a documentary on behavioural finance entitled Taking Stock which features top experts in the field.

Chris believes strongly in a teaching approach to advising, helping his clients not only achieve their goals but understand why they own the investments they do.
