With over 16.5 million cats and dogs as household pets across the country, most Canadians want to make sure their four-legged friends are well cared for after they’re gone. The unique legal status of these pets comes with a wide range of special planning considerations.
In partnership with the Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS) and featuring animal law specialist Rebeka Breder, , this talk will review the status of animals under the law and how that status impacts planning strategies. You will leave this complimentary lunch with ideas that you can discuss with your clients and insights into navigating issues around these lovable ‘unique assets'.
